North Pier is proud to announce the addition of institutional retirement plan industry veteran Laura Renshaw as Senior Consultant. Laura brings over 20 years of experience working with a broad range of institutional retirement benefit plans, plan fiduciaries, and client service teams. Based in the Seattle Metropolitan area, Laura will support North Pier’s commitment to providing best-in-class evaluation and search services.
Laura joins North Pier from a Pacific Northwest based investment consulting firm where she led the firm’s consulting services in the areas of vendor searches and assessments as well as plan management. Prior to that, Laura spent more than a decade focused solely on all aspects of the retirement plan provider evaluation and search process as a project consultant for an independent search firm. In addition to her roles as a Search Consultant, Laura spent several years supporting defined contribution recordkeeping clients in varying roles at a national financial services firm.
“I am excited to join a team that has deep industry experience and creative ideas, with a shared focus on helping plan sponsors and fiduciaries enhance their retirement programs to benefit their plan participants,” said Laura. “Independent evaluations and research are key areas of focus that I enjoy and look forward to continuing with the North Pier team.”
“Laura’s extensive experience in the field makes her an outstanding addition to North Pier,” said Managing Partner Jim Scheinberg. “We are excited to include her expertise and client-focused values as we continue to deliver high-quality evaluation and search services to our retirement plan, endowment, and foundation fiduciary clients.”
“We are thrilled to welcome Laura to our team! Her expertise in the evaluation and search process, combined with her strong background in project leadership, vendor search management, and due diligence research make her an invaluable addition to our organization. We are confident that Laura will play a key role in delivering exceptional results for our clients,” said Greg Metzger, North Pier’s Search Practice Leader.
Laura earned a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS®) designation from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP) and is a Gold Member with the International Society of CEBS.
